Coach “McD” (as he prefers to be called) has been with 24Lax for 2 years. Coach McD played lacrosse for Kellenberg High School. During his college years he captured 2 National Championships with Nassau Community College for the 2000 and 2001 seasons. Later in his college career, he transferred to Oswego State to pursue a degree in technology education and play lacrosse. In his final year of play, he was recognized for demonstrating outstanding team spirit, leadership, and a positive attitude both on and off the field by receiving the “Block O” award.
After his college playing career Pat stayed on to help coach the Oswego team. During first year, he was given the responsibility of working with the goalies and faceoff specialists. Later in his Oswego coaching career, Coach McD was asked to run the defense.
Coach McD returned to Long Island where he began teaching in the Uniondale school district. He has been coaching in Uniondale in the Varsity and JV level since the 2006 season. He has helped grow the game by coaching for Lax4All at Roosevelt from 2014 to 2016. His particular coaching expertise continues to be defense and goaltending.
Sean graduated from Oneonta 2011.
Started Goalie for Oneonta & captain of the team his senior year.

Head Coach: Vinny Alvarez
Vinny has exteansive lacrosse experience and has demonstrated a true love of the game at so many levels. He graduated from Bethpage HS in 2006 and played attack under the coaching expertise of Roddy McCoy. During his college years he played attack & midfield at Florida Atlantic University (MCLA). During his time in Florida he coached for Florida Elite Select & Florida Swashbucklers Select club teams. He also served as an assistant JV coach at Boca Raton High School. Vinny later retuned to Long Island to work “For Love of the Game” (FLG) in a variety of roles including senior coach, camp manager and director of tournament operations. Vinny’s extensive lacrosse experience continued with directing equipment management and on-field game day operations for MLL Chesapeake Bayhawks. Later he was the Camp Team Leader at Loyola University Lacrosse Camp. In addition to his Team 24 coaching responsibilities, Vinny actively trains kids through his Run and Gun Lacrosse Camp program.
Michael was born and raised in Lynbrook and played for Larry Glenz and the Owls. His Junior year of high school Michael helped lead his team to the county championship game and his senior year they lost in the Nassau County Semi Finals. Michael headed to play for Coach Spechman and Coach Powers at Nassau Community College where 2 years in a row he played in 2 consecutive national championship games. Following he attended Adelphi University and played for Gordon Purdies Panthers. After finishing college Michael has coached many players one on one and also coached many teams such as the Turf Island Oilers and is now happy to be apart of Twenty Four Lacrosse.
